Intergraph products use the following criteria to determine Year 2000 Compliance, which require six main factors to be satisfied with respect to date datatype processing:
1. From now until 1 January 2000, must correctly process data containing dates before 1 January 2000. 2. From now until January 2000, must correctly process data containing dates after 31 December 1999. 3. From 1 January 2000, must correctly process data containing dates before 1 January 2000. 4. From 1 January 2000, must correctly process data containing dates after 31 December 1999 5. Must be able to handle the date 01/01/01 (1 January 2001) correctly. 6. Must recognise the year 2000 as a leap year: • February 2000 is recognised as a valid date • Julian date 00060 is recognised as 29 February 2000 • Julian date 00366 is recognised as 31 December 2000 • Arithmetic operations performed recognise that the year 2000 has 366 days • Binary date 36584 is recognised as 29 February 2000
These criteria are a superset of the Year 2000 conformance requirements set by the British Standards Institute in DISC PD-2000-1: A Definition of Year 2000 Conformity Requirements.
