Aim of the courses

These courses will show you how to make the best and full use of Mathcad's unique document interface and powerful problem solving features. The courses are highly interactive; questions and feedback are welcome throughout the course. Our goal is to engage all participants in the learning process.

The courses focus on the practical application of Mathcad. They are ideally suited to anyone who needs to use maths as a tool to solve problems; this includes engineers, scientists, teachers and other technical professionals.

Day One - Introduction to basic techniques with Mathcad

Who should attend?

Anyone who is using Mathcad software for the first time or who has just a basic knowledge as a result of periodic use.

Training Aftercare

Delegates receive a one-year subscription to the PTC Mathcad eLearning Library. Here they can access the web-based equivalent of the course they attended and download it on demand to refresh their skills whenever required.

Trainer Profile:

Surak Perera, Applications Engineer, Maths and Simulation, Adept Scientific UK

As an expert in modelling and simulation in the Maths and Simulation group at Adept Scientific, Surak supports clients in industry and academia by providing training and consultancy services to ensure the best possible results. He holds a Master of Engineering Aerospace degree from the University of Southampton, specialising in mathematical modelling of fluid systems. Currently his main area of interest is in mathematical modelling of multi-domain physical systems, including high performance models for vehicle dynamics, drivelines in marine applications, power systems modelling, mechanical/electrical/structural work with Mathcad.

Surak is a PTC accredited Mathcad software trainer, but he also has considerable software expertise covering Maple, MapleSim, VisSim and Micro Saint Sharp.
