IOtech 6000 Series: It Stacks Up
One of the product highlights of 2011
was the launch of a new modular
solution for accurate, high-speed,
high-precision data acquisition that's based
on Ethernet connectivity. The 6000 Series
from the long-established developer IOtech,
now part of Measurement Computing, offers
a choice of modules for measuring voltage,
temperature and strain. These can be stacked
or rack-mounted in quantity to build a
powerful mixed-signal system that can be
expanded further as needed.
Because the 6000 Series uses an Ethernet
connection, you can connect modules directly
to a central PC or use in distributed or remote
configurations. Each of the modules includes
12 analogue input channels and 8 digital I/Os.
An easy-to-use, out-of-the-box Windows software package,
Encore, is included with each 6000 Series module. Much more
than just a software makeweight, it delivers powerful data display,
analysis and reporting capabilities all in a single application.
Set-up is simple and interactive, with no need to program, and
results data can be dragged directly into Excel.
