Technical Computing Magazine - Issue 40

Grams/AI: Data Sorted

We've talked in these pages before about GRAMS/AI, the software that processes data from just about every spectroscopic technique and instrument and presents it in a unified, standard format. But do you know about the add-on tools that turn GRAMS/AI into a complete, integrated spectroscopy data suite? GRAMS IQ is a graphical multivariate analysis tool for building quantitative calibrations and models for discriminant analysis.

It combines qualitative and quantitative methods to provide a complete spectroscopic model of your samples. Unlike static 3D plotting and rendering packages, GRAMS/3D is a true real-time visualisation application that lets you view all the information in multidimensional data sets such as GC-IR, LC-PDA, 2D- NMR, 2D-IR or spectroscopic mapping experiments.

Then there's GRAMS Envision, a multi-format instrument data viewer with the capacity to host plug-in processing and reporting modules. As keeping track of all this information becomes increasingly difficult, Spectral DB helps you manage your data effectively, organising spectra and chromatograms into a simple, searchable database. Another tool, Spectral ID, provides qualitative identification of compounds through spectral pattern matching.
