Measurement
Computing continually strives to create a
product range capable of meeting
every possible measurement and control
application. With the launch of 11 new products
this autumn, they're well on their way to becoming
the one-stop-shop for DAQ professionals around the world.
There are literally thousands of
situations where scientists or
engineers might need to build
special data acquisition and control
systems to get real-world signals into
their computer. The equipment used will
depend on the complexities of the
system, signal type, space or design
constraints, and budget, but with any
number or mix of parameters, the
possible configurations are endless.
Only a few companies are able to
comply with such a broad range of
requirements. Measurement Computing
(MCC) is one of them. Keeping one ear to
the ground listening out for industry
trends, and the other ear permanently
pointed in the direction of their customers,
they are able to continually react to
demand, developing a broad range of DAQ
products with the right interfaces/buses
and usable form factors. True to form,
Measurement Computing have just
introduced nine new USB and two PCI
Express products to address the higher
end of the market with better resolution,
faster sampling and synchronous input
products. And whether you prefer your
devices to have BNC connectors, standard
slots or screw terminals, MCC’s new high
performance, multifunction modules cater
for every option.
If accuracy matters, but you don’t want
to pay over the odds, then the new 24-bit
isolated USB-2416 series will provide you
with exact results and the minimum
interference. These devices make ideal
solutions for characterisation and testing
of precision devices like integrated circuits,
and for signal and sensor measurements requiring instrument-class accuracy
such
as laboratory and research applications,
medical device instrumentation and
monitoring, materials and structural
analysis, gas detection, etc. The USB-2416-
4AO also includes four 16-bit analogue
output channels.
If high-speed sampling is your primary
requirement, then the USB-1602HS and
the USB-1604HS will deliver the
throughput you need to keep up with fastchanging
measurements boasting 2 or 4
simultaneous analogue inputs at 2 or 1.33
MS/s respectively.
The USB-2404 duo of devices offer
simultaneous sampling of four differential
24-bit analogue inputs at a speed of 50
KS/s. Choose between an input tolerance
of +_10V or +_60V depending on your
voltage range, with 250 Vrms channel-tochannel
isolation.
MCC have also made the 1MS/s 16-bit
multifunction sampling capabilities of the
USB-1616 available with BNC connectors.
Measurement Computing have followed
the lead of the consumer PC vendors by
introducing two new PCIe-DIO24 and PCIe-
DIO96H plug-in boards. ‘PCIe’ or PCI
Express is the latest general purpose
interface found in most new desktop and
tower PCs, replacing the parallel bus with a
high-speed (2.5 Gb/s) serial bus. These
new devices offer enhanced functionality
and 24 or 96 logic-level digital I/O.
And of course, all these devices come
complete with extensive software
support, including programming libraries
and drivers for Universal Library and
Universal Library for LabVIEW to save you
time and simplify the configuration and
operation of your set-ups. Plus TracerDAQ
data logging and instrument software to
get you acquiring, analysing and
displaying your data fast, and the InstaCal
installation, calibration, and test utility.
Think out of the box
All Measurement Computing DAQ
modules can be customised to meet the
specific design requirements of OEMs or
manufacturers. So if you don’t want the
casing, need a feature or component
added or removed, or require a different
form factor, firmware or bus type, then
MCC have 20 years experience of meeting
such demands. If you want volume
discounts for bulk buys, private labels on
existing products or even a custom product
designed from scratch – anything is
possible.
