Need for speed

Cathy White
Product Specialist

Ideal for OEMs, a new series of multifunction data acquisition devices, available as either PCI boards or USB modules, offer high-speed, true multifunction performance with analogue inputs, waveform capable analogue outputs, 24 high-speed digital I/O, four counter/ quadrature inputs and two timer outputs.

All devices in Measurement Computing’s PCI-2500 and USB-2500 series feature a unique, lowlatency control output mode. That means that any input – analogue, digital or counter - can control any output - digital, analogue or timer – based on pre-defined limits. The outputs are controlled directly from the board, so your PC doesn’t have to intervene.

The result? Response times that are deterministic and measured in microseconds, not milliseconds! For example, a digital output can be programmed to be a logic 1 when an analogue input channel is above 5 volts, and a logic zero when below 5 volts. With a 2500 series device, you’ll achieve response rates as fast as 2 μs – that’s nearly 1,000 times faster than conventional data acquisition devices.

The 2500 series can be configured to sample a combination of analogue, digital and counter inputs concurrently up to 1 MHz. Independently, these digital inputs can be scanned at a rate of 12 MHz. The series can also be configured to output a combination of analogue and digital signals up to 1 MHz, as well as offering digital waveform generation at 12 MHz and pattern recognition for the digital I/O.

You’ll find details of the PCI- 2500 and USB-2500 series, and more, in our latest Measurement Computing data acquisition product guide – why not download a copy today?

Sourcing for OEMs
Adept Scientific’s data acquisition customers choose us, many say, because of our expertise in advising the best solution for their particular project. That applies no less to OEM customers as to end users. OEMs want to focus on their core competencies rather than spending time and money on redesigning hardware and maintaining software drivers. Measurement Computing’s comprehensive hardware range offers choice and quality at remarkably low prices, with drivers and basic configuration and set-up software included: proven product so you can focus on what you do best.
