NWA Quality Analyst has long been the ideal solution for statistical
quality control charting. Now there’s a brand-new version of the
Quality Analyst Web Server (QAWS).
With QAWS, you can distribute SQC charts to
colleagues, customers, suppliers and regulators anywhere, any time -
they view them through a standard Web browser.
The key feature of the new release is the availability of Exception
Reports from Quality Analyst.
Through QAWS, users see a list of exceptions that
can include violations of specifications, SPC limits and SPC Pattern
Rules. As with Quality Analyst Exception Reports, the relevant SPC chart
is available by clicking a button.
The Quality Analyst Exception Report
is created as an XML file, which QAWS converts into HTML using XSLT,
a stylesheet language for XML which can also be used to create your own
custom reports. QAWS also uses the increasingly popular RSS (Really Simple
Syndication) standard which allows users to be notified of specific exceptions
that may require their action.
If you’ve used a previous version of
QAWS, you’ll find performance
has improved significantly. Both SPC charts and exception reports can
be cached, while linking a single reference to a run file to create all
charts reduces server workload and optimises database connections. |
