For any system designer wishing to handle a selection of I/O through
a standard USB port, Measurement Computing’s new PMD-1208LS device
is an excellent option at what we think is a fantastic price.
The PMD (Personal Measurement Device) will appeal to a broad range
of OEM system designers. It has eight single-ended or four differential
12-bit analogue inputs, two 10- bit analogue outputs and a 32-bit external
event counter. There are also 16 digital I/O lines and an external trigger
input. Built-in screw terminals connect the unit to the outside world.
MCC’s Universal Library software package provides I/O libraries
and drivers for the Personal Measurement Device, enabling it to be controlled
by your code written in any Windows language or SoftWIRE, the Visual Basic
add-in. It’s the perfect way to add measurement and control capability
to any USB capable PC.
