PXI has now become an established multi-vendor, open industrial specification for test and measurement, industrial automation and data acquisition. Taiwanese manufacturer Adlink has specialised in this standard and produced a series of PXI instrumentation units at a more affordable price than ever.

The Adlink cPXIS-2150 series instrument Chassis for 3U PXI and CompactPCI offers Pentium III computing power, Ethernet and USB connectivity, 6.4in TFT LCD display, seven PXI peripheral slots and power all integrated into a 19in rackmount, portable or benchtop chassis.

PXI extends CompactPCI for test and measurement and automation. It maintains complete interoperability with CompactPCI while adding the trigger bus, system reference clock and local bus to provide the system timing capability for many instrumentation applications.
