A series of recent user seminars on ChemOffice gave the Adept Scientific
team a good opportunity to receive some genuine feedback. For many of
the tens of thousands of ChemOffice users in research and industry, the
software is an indispensable part of their working environment, and they
are passionate about the features which make their jobs the easiest.
Many delegates praised the ability of ChemOffice to provide correct compound
names. The ability comes from ChemDraw Ultra offering Beilstein's highly
regarded AutoNom 2.1 program to generate IUPAC-standard names from ChemDraw
structures a feature that has settled arguments as well as saved
a lot of time. Of course, things also work the other way around too, with
the Name=Struct feature instantly producing structures from the chemical
names.
ChemOffice 2002 is the latest package for chemists which includes ChemDraw
7, Chem3D 7 and ChemFinder. It's indisputably the industry standard for
chemistry software, and continues to go from strength to strength.
