Highly accurate temperature measurement has just got a whole lot easier, with the release of a powerful new thermocouple input board from ComputerBoards. The new 16-channel CIO-DAS-TC from ComputerBoards accepts no less than seven different types of thermocouple input (J, K, E, T, R, S and B), and reads temperature in either degrees C or F. An onboard microprocessor handles all control and maths functions including CJC (Cold Junction Compensation), automatic gain and offset calibration, and thermocouple linearisation, so it makes few demands on your PC's own processor. Fully isolated analogue input protects your PC against common mode voltages up to 500V, and an on-board integrating converter keeps noise from the AC power line to a minimum, eliminating a common cause of error. It's supplied with a screw terminal board that incorporates an isothermal block and CJC sensor as well as a five-foot shielded cable, and is supported by ComputerBoards' powerful Universal Library driver package. The board is supported by third-party, data acquisition software products including LabVIEW and HP-VEE, but to simply get data directly into Excel, DAS Wizard supplied FREE with every CIO-DAS-TC, is all you need! |
