The world's leading statistical process control analysis and charting software, NWA's Quality Analyst, has just been enhanced to take advantage of developments elsewhere in computing. The new 32-bit release gives significantly improved access to users' existing databases, by providing 32-bit ODBC drivers for Oracle databases and improved connection performance for Microsoft Access, MS SQL and other 32-bit databases. The development has been at the specific request of many Quality Analyst users who are working on integration of their SPC tasks into company-wide information systems. Whilst Oracle database connectivity is very important in larger organisations, the improved performance with Windows-based products such as Microsoft Access will be appreciated even more widely. And it doesn't stop there: users can now even connect directly to MS Excel (.XLS) files. Other enhancements include improved quality of copy-and-paste objects, a zoom feature in graphics to give detailed views of specific areas of a chart, and long file names for data files. We think this significant step forward for Quality Analyst is likely to enhance the application's reputation still further as the No.1 SPC application for Windows-based PCs. |
