Ultra High Speed DAQ for Simultaneous Sampling up to 20 MS/s

PR Image USB-2020Adept Scientific (Letchworth, Herts.) announces the release by Measurement Computing Corporation (Norton, Mass.) of a new ultra high speed, USB data acquisition board for simultaneous sampling up to 20 MS/s per channel.

The USB-2020 features two analogue input channels with multiple input ranges up to ±10V and can sample data from both channels at an overall rate of 40 MS/s to the on-board memory, or continuously stream to a host computer at up to 8 MS/s. Each channel has its own A/D converter to eliminate channel skew and ensure phase information between channels is maintained.

Flexible triggering and gating (both analogue and digital) ensures data is acquired when needed. The clock I/O input allows acquisition to be controlled by the on-board clock or by an external clock source for applications that require user-supplied pacing.
The small, board-only design makes the USB-2020 ideal for OEM and embedded applications.

Included with the USB-2020 is out-of-the-box TracerDAQ® software along with comprehensive support for Visual Studio®, Visual Studio®.NET and NI LabVIEW™. The board is supplied complete with power supply, USB cable and standoffs.

New wireless temperature logging DAQ from Measurement Computing

 

Measurement Computing Corporation (Norton, MA), the value leader in data acquisition, has announced the release of the WiFi-501-TP temperature data logging sensor.

Available from Adept Scientific (Letchworth, Herts), the WiFi-501-TP is a WiFi-based temperature data logging sensor with thermistor probe which measures the temperature of the environment in which the probe is situated. Data is transmitted wirelessly via a WiFi network to a PC and is viewed using the software included. It can then be placed anywhere within range of the network. If the sensor temporarily loses connectivity with the network, it will log readings until it is able to communicate again with the PC application (max 120 days at 10 second sample interval).

This WiFi-501-TP is a battery-powered device and, when configured using typical sampling periods (e.g. once every 60 seconds), the sensor will operate for over one year. The battery can be recharged via a PC or USB +5 V wall adapter.

The software included will allow set-up, data logging and data review. Set-up features will include sensor name, °C/°F, sample rate and high/low alarms. Once configured, historic data can be viewed via the graphing tool or exported to Excel.

Wireless solutions: introducing MCC’s WiFi-502, WLS series

 

The WiFi-502 is the perfect solution for wireless data acquisition for a variety of temperature and humidity monitoring applications. From Measurement Computing Corporation (MCC) (Norton, MA), the WiFi-502 is 802.11b compliant and has an on screen data display which simultaneously saves data directly to a PC.

Available from Adept Scientific (Letchworth, Herts), the rechargeable WiFi-502 measures the temperature and humidity of the environment in which it is situated. Data is transmitted wirelessly via a WiFi network to a PC and viewed using the software included. During configuration the sensor will search for an existing wireless network while physically connected to the PC. It can then be placed anywhere within range of the network. If the sensor temporarily loses connectivity with the network, it will log readings until it is able to communicate again with the PC application (max 60 days at 10 second sample interval). The range of the sensor can be increased by using WiFi extenders.

This WiFi-502 is a low powered battery device, which, when configured using typical sampling periods (eg once every 60 seconds) the sensor will operate for over one year. The battery can then be recharged via a PC or USB +5V wall adapter using the USB lead provided. The battery is safely charged when the unit is operating between 0 to +40°C (+32 to +104°F). It is protected against charging outside this temperature range. Sensor readings may be inaccurate during battery charging.

The software installed on the PC will allow set-up, data logging and data review. Set-up features will include sensor name, °C/°F, sample rate and high/low alarms. Once configured historic data can be viewed via the graphing tool or exported into Excel. This sensor stands alone on a horizontal surface and comes with a wall bracket that can be screwed onto a wall or flat surface.

New remote data logger assistant: configure and retrieve data from USB-500 Series loggers without a PC

Bringing you truly portable data acquisition, Measurement Computing Corporation (Norton, MA), has released its fully rechargeable USB-525 remote data logger assistant. Available from Adept Scientific (Letchworth, Herts) it is now possible to configure and retrieve data from the USB-500 Series Loggers without even having a PC to hand.

The ultra-portable USB-525 allows the user to conveniently program compatible USB-500 Series Loggers and view the data on a high-resolution screen. Compatible USB-500 Series stand-alone data loggers provide the ability to measure temperature, humidity and dew point.

With the USB-525 Logger, set up and data display can be done on-site without the need of a computer. USB-500 Series Data Loggers connect directly to the USB-525’s built-in USB port and are then programmed using the LCD touch-screen display. Users can configure the logger, download, view and export data for use in a spreadsheet application. Powered by a rechargeable battery providing up to eight hours of use, the USB-525 reduces interruptions in data collection and decreases the need to travel between test sites.

Made-to-measure thermocouples and RTDs

Making it to the range of data acquisition products available from Adept Scientific (Letchworth, Herts) are Measurement Computing’s (Norton, MA), a leading manufacturer of low-cost data acquisition hardware and software, ready-made thermocouples and RTDs.

The ready-made thermocouples are available in 1- and 2m lengths, complete with measuring junction at one end, and are available in J, K, T and E-types.

Sealed in an Alumina tube with three Teflon-coated leads, the ready-made RTDs can measure up to 400oF (204oC).  Resistant to abrasion and moisture, each RTD is sold individually and is also available in 1- and 2m lengths with a 3 wire, 100 Ohm.

Both these products can be trimmed should a shorter length be required.

High-speed multifunction OEM boards

Measurement Computing Corporation’s (MCC) (Norton, MA) USB-2500 Series of high-speed multifunction OEM boards are available from Adept Scientific (Letchworth, Herts).  The USB-2500 Series are multifunction measurement and control boards designed for OEM or embedded applications; each board is supported under the popular Microsoft Windows® operating systems.

The USB-2500 Series provides up to 32 differential or 64 single-ended analogue inputs with 16-bit resolution from its 40-pin connectors. It offers seven software-selectable analogue input ranges of ±10 V, ±5 V, ±2 V, ±1 V, ±0.5 V, ±0.2 V and ±0.1 V. You can configure up to four of the analogue inputs as differential thermocouple (TC) inputs.

The USB-2500 Series is available with up to four 16-bit, 1 MS/s analogue output channels with an output range of -10 V to +10 V.
