Easy Reference Sharing
Share references on a network or on the Internet.
True Network Solution
You and your colleagues can simultaneously edit the same record within
a single database. Sharing databases program allows multiple users
to read and write to the same database down to the field level within
the same bibliographic record. Only Reference Manager for
Windows offers this true network capability.
Two Licence Options
Reference Manager is licenced based either
on the number of workstations or on the number of people who
have concurrent access to the program.
Databases are stored on either a network or workstation
drive.
Non-Concurrent Licence Install
A workstation licence provides each individual licenced
user with access to Reference Manager at all times.
The workstation licence
also allows installation of the software on a notebook computer so each
licenced user is able to work both at the office and when the computer
is undocked, or portable.
Concurrent Licence
(Server Based)
A concurrent licence allows for a limited number
of simultaneous accesses to Reference Manager - via a network.
This is an economical choice to support a broad pool of users.
Users run the program from a computer or workstation
connected to the network (client/server).
The suggested ratio of total number of users to
concurrent licences is 4:1 - i.e. one concurrent licence to support
four users.
Concurrent use is governed by the network administrator
and requires a local method of metering simultaneous access. A concurrent
Network metering utility is provided in the network version.
Installation is restricted to a single network server
where it is used solely as a server application.
