| Question 19: When using EndNote 5 with Word XP, Word
sometimes freezes or responds very slowly. How can I fix this?
Answer: First make sure that you are running EndNote version 5.0.2.
If you are running an earlier version of EndNote 5, click here
to get the 5.0.2 update.
Also make sure you have the latest updates for Microsoft Office installed.
Go to http://office.microsoft.com/ProductUpdates/default.aspx
to get the latest updates.
If the problem persists, there is a setting in Word XP you need to change.
In Word go to Tools / Options / Edit tab, uncheck the "Keep track of formatting"
box, and then click OK. |
