Word 2007 News

EndNote X1 is compatible with Word 2007. The tools should install on all supported operating systems.

EndNote X is compatible with Microsoft Word 2007. The EndNote X Cite While You Write toolbar should install into the Addins tab in Word 2007, and the tools should function as designed*. If the CWYW tools do not load automatically, click here for instructions on how to install the EndNote toolbar into Word 2007.

* If you run Windows Vista as your operating system, you must install the CWYW tools manually and there are known compatibility issues. Click here for more information.

Compatibility:

We have identified the following items related to compatibility between EndNote and Word 2007. These items are based on testing performed with the public release of Word 2007. We continue to monitor reports from users and will update this message as required.

EndNote 9

We have identified minor incompatibilities with EndNote 9:

• Clicking on the Help icon in the CWYW toolbar or going to the "Addins > EndNote 9 > Help" dropdown menu gives a "Failed to Launch Help" error message. Clicking on the Help button in one of the CWYW dialog boxes will launch Help properly.

EndNote 8

We have identified minor incompatibilities with EndNote 8:

• Clicking on the Help button in one of the CWYW dialog boxes will give a "Failed to Launch Help" error message. Clicking on the Help icon in the CWYW toolbar or going to the "Addins > EndNote 8 > Help" dropdown menu works properly.
