This model explores a simple (no intercooling, reheat, regeneration, etc...) air-cycle gas turbine engine with a single load torque (e.g. a generator or alternator) with a dynamic analysis. This approach is different from the usual temperature-enthalphy analysis done in the classroom.
This model incorporates geometrical dimenstions of the compressor, combustion chamber, and turbine; design parameters such as deHaller number, load coefficient, flow coefficient, and Degree of Reaction; and thermodynamic parameters such as ambient condtions, LHV of the fuel, and pressure increase and decrease relationships. |
