Point and Click Tools for Control Systems Design
Maple 13 offers point-and-click access to powerful tools for control systems design. The DynamicSystems package, first introduced in Maple 12, offers a large selection of analytic and graphing tools for linear time-invariant systems, which are essential in control systems development. These powerful control systems analysis tools can now be accessed at the click of a button through context-sensitive menus, with no knowledge of commands or syntax required.
Over 30 operations are available through the context menus.
Through the menus, you can:
- Create transfer function, differential or difference equation, state-space, and zero-pole-gain models of your system.
- Easily convert between different model representations.
- Analyse the dynamics of your system by computing controllability and observability matrices and grammians, determining gain and phase margins, determining gain and phase crossover frequencies, performing similarity transformations and state reductions on state-space matrices and systems, and generating the Routh table of a polynomial.
- Perform a variety of graphical analysis including finding frequency, impulse, and system response characteristics to a variety of inputs.
Context-menu operations are automatically documented, creating a record of your steps.
