Powerful Tools for Learning and Doing Mathematics
More mathematics
Continuous efforts to improve and augment the Maple maths engine result in numerous additions for Maple 13.
Highlights:
- Enhancements to integration include:
- Improved integration of special functions, such as erf, Ci, Si, and Fresnel integrals
- New calling sequences provide more compact syntax for multiple integrals
- New option simplifies commands for numeric integration
- A set of 30 new specialised commands for General Relativity computations have been added to the DifferentialGeometry Tensor package.
- New commands and options to the LinearFunctionalSystems package include the ability to compute logarithmic solutions of a differential system with polynomial coefficients.
- Support for d'Alembertian coefficients has been added.
- The algcurves package now allows the computation of Puiseux series expansions with d'Alembertian coefficients for an algebraic function.
- The Slode package now computes power series solutions with d'Alembertian coefficients for a homogeneous linear differential equation with polynomial coefficients.
- The Slode package also provides more support for inhomogeneous equations.
- Linear algebra support continues to grow. Additions in this release include:
- Solving systems of linear equations uses a new default algorithm, the dense p-adic lift, which is faster on most inputs
- New solvers are provided for Sylvester linear systems and continuous Lyapunov system
- The combinatorics package now includes the Eulerian numbers of first and second order.
