Completely New 3-D Plotting Facilities
Fly-Through Animations
As part of the new 3-D plotting facilities, Maple 13 provides fly-through animations. These animations help you to gain additional insight from your 3-D plots as a virtual camera flies through, over, under, into, and around your surface, letting you focus on points of interest from any angle to understand the trends and behaviour of surfaces.
- Explore 3-D plots from any angle – even from the inside
- Choose from built-in standard paths, or define your own camera path. Methods include:
- Using one of four standard viewpoints, such as “circle left” and “circle right”
- Providing a camera location for each frame of the resulting animation
- Using either a parametrically-defined path or a spline computed from a given set of points
- The camera orientation, field of view and number of frames are all configurable
- Use standard animation controls to adjust playback options
- Available for most 3-D plots, not just those created with the plot3d command
