Wavelets
The Discrete
Transforms package,
which is
included
with Maple,
now contains
numerical
wavelet transforms.
It provides
the ability
to obtain
the coefficients
for many
well-known
classes of
wavelets
for varying
filter lengths,
including Daubechies and Bi-Orthogonal
Spline wavelets,
and to apply
these wavelet
transforms
to discrete
data.
Features include:
- Ability
to compute
forward and
inverse numerical
wavelet transforms
by using
a variety
of end-conditions
- Wavelet Plot tool for visualizing
wavelets
- Wavelet filters for the common families
of wavelets, including Daubechies Wavelets,
Symlets, Coiflets, Battle-Lemarie (orthogonal spline)
Wavelets, and Biorthognal Spline Wavelets
- Ability to define your own wavelet
filter
