Maple Powertools



DynamicsLab is a Maple package for simulation of dynamical systems, contributed by Forhad Ahmed, a senior at Columbus Alternative High School.

It provides routines for building and simulating a physical system one step at a time, including

  • Adding point-masses to the system with given mass, position and velocity
  • Adding springs between masses with given stiffness
  • Specifying the dimensions along which each mass is free to move
  • Setting gravitational forces and air resistance
  • Animating and graphing the behavior of the system over time
