Plot Annotations and Customisations
In Maple, you can customise and annotate plots easily using the Plot Builder Assistant, context-sensitive menus, or options in plot commands.
2-D Plots and Animations
Options for controlling the appearance of a 2-D plot or animation include:
- Typeset text and mathematical expressions in titles, legends, plot labels, tickmark labels and axis labels
- Extensive plot annotation tools, including sketching, typing, and drawing of lines, arrows and shapes on plots
- Control over tickmark spacing and the generation of subticks, including the ability to place tickmarks at multiples of π
- Control over ranges, colour, linestyle, point style, axis style, gridlines, legend placement and more
- International (non-English) characters supported
- Interactive plot manipulators: scaling, panning, point probe
3-D Plots and Animations
Options for controlling the appearance of a 3-D plot or animation include:
- Real-time rotation, panning and scaling by dragging with the mouse
- Font control over titles, captions and axis labels
- Control over ranges, surface style, lighting, glossiness, transparency, colour, shading, projection, orientation, view and axis style
