TCP-Wedge communicates with TCP/IP connected devices from within any Windows application (such as MS Excel). Also use it to input IP network based data into any web page or form.
- Communicate with any TCP/IP address directly from within any Windows program – Excel, Access, MMIs, HMIs, LIMS, SPC programs, etc..
- Input data from your IP network devices directly into any Web application or form.
- TCP-Wedge can automatically “type” the data into your application or form as needed.
TCP-Wedge supports powerful DDE capabilities to allow the user to set up sophisticated data collection and device control interfaces with DDE-supporting applications (such as MS Excel or Access) over TCP-IP networks.
TCP-Wedge fully supports 2 way I/O (input/output). You can easily receive data from, or transmit commands and data to, any IP address directly from within any Windows application.
Do you have RS232 devices connected to your IP network with TCP-Com or a terminal server? Then use TCP-Wedge software to input the data from those RS232 devices anywhere in your facility directly into any Windows application program or web page. Networked data will appear as local data to your existing Windows applications such as Excel.
TCP-Wedge has many powerful features to parse, filter, format and translate networked data so that it appears exactly as you need it in any application program. The set-up steps are very simple with TCP-Wedge’s “walk-though” menus. TALtech also provides free and unlimited support.
Simple 3 Step Set-up
- Select the web page or Windows application (Excel, Access, etc.) for TCP-Wedge to input data into and communicate with.
- Select the IP addresses and port number for TCP-Wedge to communicate with.
- Define, using simple menus, how you need your TCP/IP data to be parsed, filtered and formatted to the requirements of the application or web page in which the data will appear.

TCP-Wedge was awarded the #2 prize in the SCANTECH Top Ten New Products by Russ Adams, Technical Editor
TCP-Wedge was awarded “Most Newsworthy” at Sensors Expo.
RS232 to TCP/IP Converters
TCP-Com – Less expensive than a converter box (terminal server) especially if you need to connect many RS232 devices to your TCP/IP network. You just attach your serial RS232 devices to a Windows PC connected to the TCP/IP network. If you need additional com ports on the PC please see com ports.
There are many companies manufacturing hardware RS232 to TCP/IP converters – also called terminal servers. For 1 to 2 serial ports, these usually sell for $300-$500 (more ports are also available)
