General Description

High performance combined with incredible ease-of-use! The Measurement Advantage USB-1616FS provides 16 channels of 16-bit, simultaneous sampling analog input in a single USB-based unit. The new USB-1616FS is an ideal DAQ interface in a wide variety of industrial and laboratory measurement applications. Priced at only £570, the USB-1616FS costs a fraction of comparable, PC-based simultaneously sampling products.

The USB-1616FS provides 16 simultaneously sampled 16-bit analog inputs with sample rates up to 50 kS/s per channel with continuous module throughputs of 150 kS/s, and 32 ksample bursts up to 200 kS/s. The USB-1616FS also provides one 32-bit counter and 8 bits of digital I/O.

All field wiring connections to the USB-1616FS are made through full-sized screw terminals provided on the board. This eliminates the need for costly and noise susceptible cables and secondary screw terminals. The compact 4.8" by 8" board minimizes the space required on your bench, or in your rack. The required external power supply and USB cable are included with the unit.

Free software included USB-1616FS software is provided in a variety of forms, one of which will be ideal for any application. First, all Measurement Advantage boards include TracerDAQ™. TracerDAQ is a fully functional, ready-to-run strip chart, oscilloscope and data logger application. The USB-1616FS also includes Measurement Computing’s powerful Universal Library. Universal Library is a powerful language interface that allows users to write programs in all of the popular programming languages, such as Visual C#, C++ and Visual Basic. The Measurement Advantage software also includes SoftWIRE® drivers and LabVIEW® VIs.

Software

TracerDAQTM: A powerful, fully-functional application providing both Strip Chart Recorder and Data Logging capabilities, TracerDAQ not only displays data in a familiar strip chart format, it logs the data as a text or Excel file, and it allows you to save the graphical displays as bitmaps. Once the data has been acquired, the Strip Chart display allows you to use cursors to select specific points on the curve and compare levels at different times. TracerDAQ even allows you to automatically email data to any valid email address.

Universal Library: Programming libraries for Windows Visual Studio programming languages, and others. A complete function library to simplify the configuration and operation of your measurement board. A single, universal set of functions operates all our products so you only have to learn to use our library once.

SoftWIRE: Graphical programming system for Windows Visual Studio .NET and Visual Basic 6 allows you to create programs without having to learn a programming language. Completely Visual Studio, 100% Microsoft standard compliant, projects can be graphical only, graphical plus code, and graphical plus code plus any other Visual Studio library, DLL, ActiveX control or .NET component or control. SoftWIRE for Visual Studio .NET includes a developer's kit so you can create your own SoftWIRE controls.
