General Description
The USB-1408FS is a USB-based device that sets a new standard for low-cost, PC-based analog and digital I/O. Providing 8 single-ended inputs with 13-bit resolution or 4 differential inputs with 14-bit resolution, the unit offers sample rates up to 48 kilosamples/sec with 8 software selectable input ranges. The unit also provides 2 channels of 12-bit analog output, one 32-bit counter and 16 bits of digital I/O.

The combination of the USB-1408FS and Measurement Computing’s DAQ software suite gives you a complete data acquisition solution that will have you taking measurements in minutes. TracerDAQ™: out of the box software that allows you to read from both analogue and digital inputs, and also supports logging to disk at rates below 10 Hz. You can use the supplied programming tools, including Universal Library, Universal Library for LabVIEW and SoftWIRE, to access the analogue and digital outputs and create custom applications.
