ProfiSignal Go is a newly developed software package intended for use by universities, R&D, developmental departments within industry, and the service sector.
Although ProfiSignal Go is delivered as part of the Expert Key package, it is a much more powerful tool than other free of charge software.
ProfiSignal Go is a new member of the ProfiSignal data analysis software. Upgrading from ProfiSignal Go to ProfiSignal Basic or ProfiSignal Klicks is therefore possible at any time.
A wide range of applications are possible using ProfiSignal Go. At just a few mouse clicks you can graphically portray your measurement data online as well as offline.
ProfiSignal Go can also be used to generate any number of trend and characteristic curve diagrams. Simple configuration procedures avoid the need for any costly programming.
Measurement data can be portrayed directly at a PC using a recorder function. Analysis can then be performed either directly during a recording session or at a later point in time.
A unique feature is the ability to combine continuous long-term data acquisition with batch data acquisition. Continuous data acquisition takes place as a background process with data access still being possible at any time. Parallel batch data acquisition, e.g. from experiments, is then also possible with no risk of system conflict or interference.
Powerful calculation channels combined with Message devices, provide extensive calculation, logic and monitoring functions for online and offline data.
Trend and diagram portrayal
A trend viewing feature is the basic function of ProfiSignal Go. All important functions are performed here, e.g. online / offline measurement data portrayal and analysis. In addition to permanent data storage, a recorder function enables the saving of separate batch data from experiments. The recorder function can be configured for manual as well as triggered operation.
ProfiSignal Go provides a range of diagrams types:
- y(t) diagrams for time-based measurement data acquisition
- y(x) diagrams for characteristic curve portrayal
- Logic diagrams for simultaneous portrayal of analog and digital values in a single diagram with a split screen feature
For data analysis and optimized data portrayal, the following functions are directly available from a displayed toolbar.
- Cursor with statistical functions (minimum values, maximum values, average, etc.)
- Markers that can be saved with the measurement data
- A range of zoom functions
- y-axis shifting functions
- CSV export function for Excel
- Graphic export as EMF or for clipboard (e.g. Word)
Recorder object
The recorder object enables user-defined saving of measurement data. The recorder object can be operated within the trend view during runtime.
Recorder objects store data directly to a hard disk or to networked data files. Alternatively, instructions can be issued to a DataService for data storage within specialized data systems.
For each trend there is a pre-configured recorder that is automatically made available to the user. The recorder can be stopped or started during runtime at the click of the mouse. Remote control of the recorder for any required trigger or time event can be set up with just a few mouse clicks.
Opening existing data within a trend view can also be directly and simply performed.
ProfiSignal Go is for measurement data acquisition and analysis. ProfiSignal Basic and ProfiSignal Klicks offer additional visualization and automation functions.
