Data acquisition is on fire at Adept
Continuing its growth, Adept Scientific (Letchworth, Herts) has taken on two new members of staff to support its expanding range of data acquisition products (DAQ).
Born in the Netherlands and raised in Portugal, Henrique da Silva will concentrate on DAQ sales and has a Masters in Electronics & Computer Engineering; knowledge he has been passing on by teaching students. Along with his brother he founded a Portuguese company in 2001 dedicated to hardware/software development. Having sold the company Henrique has swapped the warmth of Portugal for the cooler climes of North London.
Elizabeth Northrop (Lilly) will be concentrating on technical support and has an MEng in Systems Engineering from Loughborough University. Her work placement while doing her Masters was as an Applications Engineer at National Instruments where she provided technical support and taught some of their two and three day courses. In her spare time Lilly practices the martial arts Tai Chi & Wing Tsun and, as if that’s not enough, she has also acquired some circus skills including “fire arts”.
Mike Pisapia, Managing Director, said, “We are always looking for new staff that can compliment our portfolio of products and really bring something to the team. With Henrique’s hands-on experience of running his own successful company he is ideally placed to grow our DAQ sales. Lilly brings a huge amount of knowledge and teaching experience to our team and we are particularly looking forward to her fire-eating act at our Christmas party.
