There are a variety of factors that determine the viability of a new flight simulator. Chief among these are performance, uptime/ availability, maintainability and ease of use. This paper will discuss how FlightSafety engineers, working in close conjunction with the UEI engineering team, have deployed UEI’s “RACKtangle” I/O series and made across the board improvements in the new Sim I/O equipped simulators.
