Press ReleasesEndNote Web 2.6 now available.

Incorporating a range of new features EndNote Web is designed primarily to help undergraduates capture, organise and cite the references they find during their studies, it also provides a useful storage stop-gap for EndNote desktop users on the move.

Users are able to search ISI Web of Knowledge, PubMed and hundreds of online library databases, then import and edit references in a personal Web account.

The new features include:

Search EBSCO Host databases and direct export references to EndNote Web. These references will retain a link back to the EBSCO Host record where users can continue their exploration.

ResearcherID, a free author community where users can host their personal publication list, is now integrated into EndNote Web.

• Create a user profile complete with prior affiliations, names and more.
• Manage publication list in EndNote Web – eliminate author misidentification.
• View instant metrics for records sourced from the Web of Science.
• Discover collaborators with subject clouds.

Reference edit pages now have a “Save” button at the bottom to reduce scrolling.

The EndNote Web 2.6 update also includes improvements to the EndNote X2 “Find Full Text” services for the following publishers/sites:

• American Chemical Society (ACS).
• American Geophysical Union (AGU).
• American Meteorological Society (AMS).
• Cambridge Journals Online.
• HighWire Press journals.
• IEEE Xplore.
• John Libbey Eurotext.
• KoreaMed Synapse journals.
• MetaPress journals.
• PubMed Central; and
• Wiley Interscience.

To use these services, users must have an active EndNote Web account, a copy of EndNote X2.01 or X2.02 for Windows or Macintosh and legitimate access to full text articles hosted by one of the above named subscription databases.

The performance of EndNote Find Full Text varies based on this access and the actual bibliographic data in a customer’s personal library.
EndNote Web is available free-of-charge to any academic institution with a subscription to an EndNote desktop site licence or ISI Web of Knowledge.  It is also available through purchasing EndNote desktop licences.
