EndNote® X2 Free Update – X2.0.3 for Windows.
This update targets users experiencing difficulties using Cite While You Write™ on 64-bit Windows Vista operating systems.
EndNote X2 for Windows is the bibliographic management software used by millions of researchers, authors and students to publish their research. The new patch is free to existing EndNote X2 users on 64-bit Windows operating systems and eliminates the noticeable time-lag when performing certain basic functions in Windows without affecting Instant Formatting or Cite While You Write functionality.
Users can download the patch here
Simultaneous to the EndNote X2.0.3 update, EndNote Web 2.6 has been released. This update includes improvements to the EndNote X2 “Find Full Text” services for the following publishers/sites:
• American Chemical Society (ACS).
• American Geophysical Union (AGU).
• American Meteorological Society (AMS).
• Cambridge Journals Online.
• HighWire Press journals.
• IEEE Xplore.
• John Libbey Eurotext.
• KoreaMed Synapse journals.
• MetaPress journals.
• PubMed Central; and
• Wiley Interscience.
To use these services, users must have an active EndNote Web account, a copy of EndNote X2.01 or X2.02 for Windows or Macintosh and legitimate access to full text articles hosted by one of the above named subscription databases.
The performance of EndNote Find Full Text varies based on this access and the actual bibliographic data in a customer’s personal library.
EndNote Web is available free-of-charge to any academic institution with a subscription to an EndNote desktop site licence or ISI Web of Knowledge. It is also available through purchasing EndNote desktop licences.
EndNote X2 continues a 20-year tradition of innovation by introducing a full text locator for references, Smart Groups for instant reference sorting and an expanded ‘Groups’ panel to centralise collection and organisation activities, saving users time and allowing them to concentrate on their research.
