Live monitoring development offers construction site developers an edge
Adeptise Creative & Design Services brings Livecyte, a live monitoring and surveillance system for construction sites, to life.
Livecyte is a unique service which links one or more cameras via IP (Internet Protocol) to remote servers. The camera requires power and a broadband connection and feeds live pictures from the site to monitor progress without the need for site visits, as well as showing progress and providing a deterrent against crime.
Adeptise software developers designed the application allowing users to view images on their computer desktop, set up periodic reports via an integrated calendar application and to share real-time progress or feeds with others. Data and images can be accessed remotely via the specially-developed interface that requires no training.
The Company behind Livecyte, Redbrick Studios, designed the cutting-edge system to provide remote project surveillance. “Livecyte has the ability to provide remote surveillance which not only generates interest in the project but fosters a sense of team spirit,” says Colin Morris, Redbrick’s Managing Director.
The close working partnership between Redbrick Studios and Adeptise was central to the project’s success, according to Colin. “In order to progress our ideas, we needed a product that was intuitive for the user and met all our design criteria. Our excellent relationship with Adeptise, along with their considerable expertise, has meant that we got everything we wanted and we were able to deliver a robust web tool that was above and beyond our initial brief.”
