Micro Saint Sharp Version 3.0 – Temporary Price Reduction, New Enhancements
Adept Scientific plc (Letchworth, Herts) is pleased to announce a temporary price reduction for Alion Science’s (Boulder, Colorado) Micro Saint Sharp simulation software effective to the end of September 2008.
Autumn 2008 will also see the release of Micro Saint Sharp Version 3.0. This version has new features that make it easier to use and gives the user more modelling capabilities. New changes and enhancements include:
- Micro Saint Sharp will no longer utilise hardware keys – version 3.0 will utilise a new software/serial number based keying system. Floating licences will also be available.
- Enhanced Support for setting key simulation input variables. The ability to mark variables as being key ‘input’ variables has been added. When the user runs the simulation Micro Saint Sharp will automatically generate a new form that shows all the input variables. Users will be able to view/edit any of the variables from the input screen then execute the scenario.
- Ability to export a runtime version of any model that can be easily distributed.
- Ability to trigger one or more snapshots to open automatically at the completion of a run.
- Addition of a new Constraint task type to automatically generate capacity-limited tasks.
A new distributed simulation capability (entitled SharpTalk360) that will allow Micro Saint Sharp to communicate with other simulations is also being released – other Micro Saint Sharp models, constructive simulations (OneSaf, etc.) and/or system level simulators.
