EndNote 9 introduces Spotlight support for Mac OS X and helps researchers worldwide search online resources in any language

Adept Scientific announces the availability of EndNote® 9 for Mac® OS X, the bibliographic management software used by millions of researchers, librarians and students worldwide, from Thomson ResearchSoft. EndNote is well known for introducing useful features such as the ability to search online bibliographic databases, organise references and images, and create instant bibliographies. EndNote 9 increases connectivity to data sources worldwide, offers enhanced performance, and includes EndNote libraries in Spotlight for Mac OS X Tiger searches.

EndNote 9 is among the first academic tools to support the new desktop search technology, Spotlight. In a single Spotlight search, users can locate EndNote references as well as other files on their Mac system. Using EndNote 9 with enhanced Unicode support, researchers and scholars can import, export and cite references, plus create bibliographies for their papers in any language. Users can connect to native language libraries worldwide with expanded record syntax and text encoding.

Enhanced Performance and Library Sharing
New benchmarks optimise performance in EndNote 9 for sorting, importing and exporting large reference libraries. EndNote 9 offers easy portability of customised reference field and type information for collaboration with colleagues. These new features along with other enhancements make EndNote the bibliographic solution for the entire spectrum of international users—from students to professional researchers.
