Maplesoft collaborates with National Instruments
Maple Professional Math Toolbox for LabVIEW enables tight mathematics integration with test and control systems
Adept Scientific are pleased to announce the availability of the Maple Professional Math Toolbox for LabVIEW from Maplesoft™, the leading provider of high performance software tools for engineering, science and mathematics. The add-on product provides a bridge between the National Instruments LabVIEW 7.1 graphical development environment and Maple 9.5, giving technical professionals the ability to integrate the rich maths of Maple and the test, automation and control capabilities of LabVIEW.
The Maple Professional Math Toolbox for LabVIEW provides two options for users to combine the power of LabVIEW and Maple. With a new library of automation VIs, users can pass data values between the environments, call the Maple mathematics engine and automate other Maple operations from LabVIEW. Also, in addition to the extensive analysis and mathematics libraries available in LabVIEW, developers now can re-use their existing Maple scripts directly inside the LabVIEW block diagram using a new LabVIEW script node.
“Integrating Maple into LabVIEW greatly extends the mathematical power of LabVIEW,” said Greg Wempe, LabVIEW product marketing manager of National Instruments. “With the Maple Professional Math Toolbox for LabVIEW, LabVIEW users can take advantage of Maple’s tight integration of symbolic and numeric maths to create a strong, analytical development approach.”
“Maplesoft’s complementary solution development environment to LabVIEW will help speed product development,” said Jim Cooper, CEO of Maplesoft. “Users can either develop solutions within LabVIEW using the world’s most advanced mathematical solvers in Maple, or develop and test solutions using the powerful Maple language and easily incorporate them into the LabVIEW application.”
