Authors can now format papers instantly in the Science of Synthesis style

ISI ResearchSoft and Thieme Chemistry announce support for the Science of Synthesis publication style requirements in EndNote. Now authors using the patent-pending Cite While You Write feature of EndNote can save time and increase accuracy when preparing papers for submission to Science of Synthesis: Houben–Weyl Methods of Molecular Transformations.

EndNote is the leading bibliographic software product and the chemist’s choice worldwide. Available for Windows and Macintosh, EndNote simplifies research by searching Internet databases, organising personal reference collections and producing bibliographies instantly in over 750 publication styles, including the new Science of Synthesis style. In addition, EndNote users can now manage tables, figures and equations along with their references in EndNote libraries.

Science of Synthesis is an entirely new addition, in English, of the classic Houben–Weyl Methods of Organic Chemistry, which has been the first point of reference for organic and organometallic synthetic strategies since 1909 and it is now available in print and electronic formats. Science of Synthesis is a quality reference work developed by a highly esteemed editorial board to provide a comprehensive and critical selection of reliable organic and organometallic synthetic methods. Methods from journals, books and patent literature from the early 1800’s are selected by leading chemists in the field. The information is organised in an intuitive, hierarchical system based on the compound or functional group to be synthesised, thereby enabling chemists to readily find the information they need. Thieme is publishing Science of Synthesis between 2000 and 2009 in 48 volumes.
