Maplesoft expands rapid control prototyping capabilities through connection to dSPACE DS1104 R&D Controller Board
An exciting new add-on had been added to Maplesoft’s™ (Waterloo, Canada) MapleSim™. The MapleSim Connector for dSPACE Systems is an engineering software product that provides streamlined solutions for rapid control systems prototyping with MapleSim real-time simulation.
As the Connector automatically converts high-fidelity MapleSim models into high-performance, real-time applications, the dSPACE DS1104 R&D Controller Board does not require the MathWorks® toolchain. This enables system modelling, control design and real-time implementation to be carried out in a single software environment at a fraction of the cost.
Engineers can ensure fast execution without loss of model fidelity by taking advantage of efficient model formulation and optimised code generation in MapleSim. MapleSim is a physical modelling and simulation tool built on a foundation of symbolic computation technology. It efficiently handles all of the complex mathematics involved in the development of engineering models, including multi-domain systems, plant modelling and control design. With MapleSim, engineers develop high-fidelity, high performance models in a fraction of the time it would take with other tools. In addition to the dSPACE DS1104 R&D Controller Board, MapleSim models can also be exported directly to Simulink®, LabVIEW™ and NI VeriStand™ for real-time implementation in hardware-in-the-loop systems, as well as to stand-alone applications for fast simulations.
“The launch of the MapleSim Connector for dSPACE Systems represents a major milestone in the development of our engineering tools,” says Paul Goossens, Vice-President of Application Engineering at Maplesoft. “Customers will benefit from this solution immediately through the time and cost savings that come with using this product and will see even more benefits as we further strengthen the connection between these powerful technologies.”
Maplesoft has over 20 years of experience developing products for technical education and research, offering a solution that applies to every aspect of academic life. Its product suite reflects the philosophy that given great tools, people can do great things.
Maplesoft’s core technology is the World’s most advanced symbolic computation engine which is the foundation for all of its products, including Maple™, the technical computing and documentation environment; MapleSim™, the high-performance, multi-domain modelling and simulation tool for physical systems; and Maple T.A., a web-based system for creating and assessing online tests and assignments.

What do our Customers say about us?
I found the training to be hugely beneficial. The delivery was clear, concise, energetic and good humoured. Definitely a good skill based introduction to EndNote, while the notes given on the day will provide a most useful refresher of what was covered.LS, Tullamore, Ireland
Very happy with the service. Very professional staff and always helpful.UO, Athlone, Ireland
Your website is hugely informative and a pleasure to visit. Frankly I wouldn’t dream of buying technical software from anyone else.NR, Inverness, UK
Amazing, wish I had learned about Endnote 5 years ago
