Friday 13th March, unlucky for some but not at Adept

March 2009:  Red Nose Day is a big event at Adept Scientific and this year is no exception.

Despite the unlucky overtones Adept has planned a whole day of events for Friday 13th March all in aid of Comic Relief – not quite so unlucky for some then.

Staff are being encouraged to dress up for the day and there is some past evidence that Adept does love to do fancy dress!

The range of activities includes:

  • a Bring and Buy sale, with staff donating items;
  • a cake bake, the cooks among us get busy in the kitchen and bring cakes to sell to the less inspired;
  • a welly throwing competition;
  • the best moustache challenge – for the ladies too; and
  • ‘Who’s up for a laugh’ scratch-off poster.

All monies raised will go to Comic Relief for their Red Nose Day appeal which fund projects across the UK, Africa and some of the World’s poorest countries.

With offices in the UK, USA, Germany and throughout the Nordic region, Adept Scientific is one of the world’s leading suppliers of software and hardware products for research, scientific, engineering and technical applications on desktop computers. “While skeptical at first, now having switched to Origin I know it will remain my graphing software of choice. Not only does it have an intuitive user interface, but it also has the power to quickly and efficiently complete all of my graphing needs. Origin is the best graphing software available. Period.”
