The USB-202 and USB-205 feature eight 12-bit analogue inputs, two analogue outputs, eight digital I/Os and one 32-bit counter input. Sampling rates are 100 and 500 kS/s respectively. Each is available as a plug-in module or as a board only version for OEM use. The latter are designed for embedded applications and feature header connectors instead of screw terminals.

The USB-2020 features two analogue input channels with multiple input ranges up to ±10V and can sample data from both channels at an overall rate of 40 MS/s to the on-board memory, or continuously stream to a host computer at up to 8 MS/s. Each channel has its own A/D converter to eliminate channel skew and ensure phase information between channels is maintained.

Flexible triggering and gating (both analogue and digital) ensures data is acquired when needed. The clock I/O input allows acquisition to be controlled by the on-board clock or by an external clock source for applications that require user-supplied pacing.

New low-cost, hand-held data loggers measure temperature, humidity or thermocouples

PR-Image-USB-600-SeriesThe USB-600 Series from Measurement Computing Corporation (Norton, Mass.) are hand-held, battery-powered data loggers with an LCD display that shows real-time readings, graphs of data and current status. Simple push-button controls are used to start and stop logging, review logger settings, determine memory used and view max and min readings. The loggers, which are available in the UK from Adept Scientific (Letchworth, Herts.), also feature LED and audible high and low alarms.

The single-channel USB-601 can collect temperature measurements between -30C and +80C, while the USB-602 can read relative humidity levels as well. The dual-channel USB-603 offers K, J and T type thermocouple measurements and includes two type K thermocouples. Current pricing can be seen here.

New low cost stand-alone thermocouple data logger

The low-cost USB-5104 features an LCD display and can be used for measuring and logging temperature in a variety of applications.

The USB-5104 measures J, K, T, E, R, S, B, or N type thermocouples and can store up to 1.9 million measurements. The USB-5104 also includes high and low alarms and a burst logging mode, allowing the logger to vary sampling intervals based on changing temperature conditions. Start, stop and restart pushbuttons make taking data easy and straightforward.

Northwest Analytics (Portland, Oregon) has announced the launch of NWA Focus EMI®, a next-generation enterprise manufacturing intelligence (EMI) solution that provides full integration of data sources and real-time process analytics and visibility. The first market-driven EMI solution, NWA Focus EMI supports all commercial databases.
