    I would like to have a real-time link into an open spreadsheet (namely Excel), which then displays the data graphically and in real-time.

    All you need to do is to create the chart before you start sending data to Excel. Normally, you would create the chart after the data has been collected by selecting the data and using the chart wizard. In order to create the chart first it is possible to select a blank range of cells and run the chart wizard, but I would recommend that you type in some "Dummy data" (only about 5 data points) and then create the chart to make sure that the chart looks as you want it to look. Then delete the dummy data, expand the chart range to include all the cells that are to receive
    data and start WinWedge. As the data comes in, the chart will reflect the new data in real time.
