"Warning! unable to add control - an exception occurred."

"The licensing for this SoftWIRE control has expired."

Users of Windows XP Service Pack 2, who have installed SoftWIRE 5 after uninstalling an expired version of SoftWIRE 4, may get the error messages above when they paste a control onto the diagrammer.

If you had SoftWIRE 4.X installed on a WinXP PC with Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed, and then you installed SoftWIRE 5.0, SoftWIRE 4.X may not have been properly uninstalled. If, while using SoftWIRE 5.0, you receive a message similar to: "The licensing for SoftWIRE control has expired." then you should run the attached SoftWIRE50Utility.exe utility
