The Universal Library for VEE installer is expecting to find VEE installed and registered under the Hewlett-Packard registry key not the Agilent key. To remedy this you need to perform the following:

Add the registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hewlett-Packard\VEE\7.0"

Then add the following string values:

"BaseDir" [set to the directory path that VEE was installed to]
"UserDir" [set to the directory path that was selected for VEE Programs]

You can now run the standard Universal Library for Vee installation software.

Note:  To edit the registry, you click on ‘Start’, Run, and type in REGEDIT, then click on ‘OK’.

CAUTION:  Please be aware that any changes you make to the registry are accepted once you type them in.  There is no “UNDO” feature in the registry editor.  Errors made while editing the registry can leave your system unstable.  If you are not comfortable making these changes, please contact your IT support personnel.

The current key configuration for VEE 7.0 in the registry is:

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Agilent\VEE\7.0"

When you add the information above to the registry, there will be no problems with any of your existing VEE software.
