Using ASCII_XY import creates a *.spc file but the file is empty of data.

You may have named a file or folder with one of the restricted characters.  When naming a) a file or b) a folder that is in the full path to the file, you cannot use any of the following characters:

@ # & [ ] (Square Brackets) { } (Curly Brackets) commas or non-printing control characters
