Maple hangs/freezes on startup. The splash screen is displayed but the program does not load.

The TCP/IP protocol needs to be installed for Maple to start (even if it's just a single-user copy on a computer not connected to a network). If you don't have a modem or a network card, install a Dial-Up Adpater. This will install TCP/IP. For instructions on how to install a dial-up adapter, please open the attached Word Document.
