In the Tools menu in Word, select the Templates and Add-Ins option. Click on CFWord.dot, then click the Remove button. Repeat the procedure for the ChemDraw.dot. Unchecking them will only hide them until the next time you launch Word.
Please note that Word XP users will not be able to use the Remove button as it is greyed out. Instead, you must do a Search on your hard drive for cfword.dot and chemdraw.dot and when you find them, you can either delete them or simply rename them to something like cfword.old and chemdraw.old in case you plan to use them later. Note that Word cannot be running when you make this change. Once the files have been deleted or renamed, launch Word, right click on the menu bar where the button still appear, and choose to hide the ChemFinder for Word and ChemDraw buttons.
