Department License

A MathType Departmental License allows use of MathType by all faculty, staff, and students of a participating department within a college or university.

MathType can be installed on all computers and/or networks within the immediate control of faculty, staff, and students of the department. Home use is permitted for faculty, staff, and students of the department.

A MathType Departmental License eliminates the buying decision between Windows and Macintosh software by providing MathType for both platforms at no additional cost.


Pricing:

Option 1: Subscription Departmental License:
A Subscription Departmental License requires the department of the college or university to pay an annual fee for a minimum of 3 years. After the 3rd year, the subscription license will automatically renew upon receipt of subsequent payment, or will cancel if subsequent payment is not received. If cancelled, the administrator of the license is required to uninstall MathType on all computers.

Option 2: Perpetual Departmental License: 
A Perpetual Department License is a one-time payment to use the version of MathType available at the effective date of the license. Whenever an upgrade is released, notices will be sent for consideration. There is never pressure to purchase an upgrade. Upgrades are offered at prices significantly reduced from regular upgrade prices.
