WinWedge 8A02 Typically you would need to convert from RS485 to RS232 before you would be able to plug the device into a serial port on your PC. RS485 to RS232 converters can be purchased for under 70. (There are two types of RS485 to RS232 converters - ones that turn the RTS line around automatically and ones that don't.
