I am trying to use CE-Wedge to collect data from a handheld chlorophyll meter. As this is a low power device I have installed a Socket I/O card onto my HP Journada and was wondering how to set up CE Wedge, which only requests which COM port, not the flashcard slot.

All that you need to do is insert the Socket I/O card in your CE device. It will automatically be recognized by Windows CE and you can start using it immediately as COM2. Therefore all you need to do is run CE Wedge and select COM2 and possibly set the serial communications parameters to match the device that you are connecting to it. Note: you do not need to use a Null modem adapter when you connect your serial device to the Socket I/O card serial port.
