The 3.5mm mono socket will accept a footswitch input. When the two connections are shorted together it has the same effect as sending ASCII “A” and executes a multiple read.

It is possible to configure the multiple read, this can also be triggered by using the footswitch, which polls whatever gauges the user requires by sending the following string;
x=12 Polls gauge 1 then 2 x=10 Polls gauge 1 x=1234 Polls gauge 1,2,3 and 4 x=4321 Polls gauge 4,3,2 and 1 x=0000 Polls no gauges
After sending the commend string, the MUX returns a string showing the current setting;
x=1234 Sent by user 1234CrLf Sent by MUX
