The description below refers to operation of the Datashuttle Express analogue outputs with Workbench and Dasylab software

The software allows two modes of output operation Asynchronous and Synchronous. These are selected form the "Experiment Setup" in the software

Asynchronous provides no timing reference, update thus variable. Experimenting with experiment sampling rate and turning off the "Real time Output" in the modules helps, by forcing the worksheet timing to the output but accurate waveform production is not possible. OK for simple DC level changes.

Synchronous provides a good stable output, but only works with the "fill once" selected in the Experiment set-up. This fills the output with a block of samples, then outputs then and repeats, using that same section of samples, in a circular buffer arrangement - however the buffer cannot accept new data until the worksheet is restarted.

The Synchronous "continuous fill" is not supported.
